A couple of weeks ago, I went to Senso-ji in Asakusa here in Tokyo. Senso-ji is the temple dedicated to Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of compassion. The legend goes that two fishermen found a statue of Kannon in the nearby Sumida River. They threw it back, but it kept returning to them and so at last they bowed to destiny and founded a temple to her.

I decided to try naming my photos this time around, as inspired by ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) zancro. Feel free to suggest alternative titles-- I mostly just went with what popped into my head.
Again, these are mostly artsy photos with one funny snap thrown in. Also, I've split this batch of photos into two posts because I'm nice like that and want to help cut down on your load times.
